Yes, using IV hydration therapy is safe for pregnant women. However, many medications are not 100% safe during pregnancy and during lactation. Medication safety can vary based on you the mother's gestation stage (trimester), medical history, contraindication and other factors that only a trained and licensed OBGYN, midwife, or other pregnancy specialist can assess. This is why Campus Medical only works with your doctor to ensure the health and safety of you and your babies.
Yes. Our Prenatal IV therapy can deliver various nausea medications via IV which goes straight into your bloodstream quickly reducing those symptoms. You will leave feeling much better and hydrated as the affects are almost instant. Prenatal IV assists in creating a better start to your morning.
Some pregnant women experience very bad nausea and vomiting. They might be sick many times a day and be unable to keep food or drink down, which can impact on their daily life. This excessive nausea and vomiting is known as hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), and often needs hospital treatment. If you feel you are experiencing symptoms of HG please consult with your prenatal provider.
Although Campus Medical is a full service medical clinic accepting all major health insurance for conditions our providers treat directly, we do not manage and treat prenatal conditions. Prenatal IV is an elective IV therapy offered as a service with Campus Medical Wellness therefore we will not bill your private health insurance for this elective option.
We do accept all forms of payment including FSA/HSA cards, in addition you will receive an itemized receipt which can be submitted to your health insurer for possible reimbursement. We also offer direct billing to OBGYN offices participating in a partnership program.
